Find a book that challenges you, a book that makes you question you ideas and your goals, a book that requires more of you...Tools of Titans is that book.

Tim Ferriss is known for an array of things including his New York Times best selling books The 4 Hour Workweek, The 4 Hour Body and The 4 Hour Chef; he also is a successful angel investor, start-up adviser and most recently his podcast. I first "met" Ferriss in the pages of The 4 Hour Workweek and was swept up into his thoughts on living and how to get the most out of every moment.

I have been learning from Ferriss for years now, reading all that he writes, reading interviews with him and trying to get into the brain of this fascinating person.

When he started his The Tim Ferriss Show podcast things were brought to a whole new level. Not only was I learning from Ferriss but now I had a front row seat to his conversations with some of the greatest minds of our time. My hour long commute became the highlight of my day. Everyday I listened to athletes, businessmen, psychologists, thinkers and more fascinating minds distill what has made them so great. I felt a new world opening right in front of me.

Everyday I would make voice notes on my phone of things to remember later, things to write about and tools to use in my own life. Then one day Tim Ferriss made everything even better and announced his new book Tools of Titans. This book is all of the wisdom from the guests on his podcast distilled in a very large and knowledge filled book.

Tools of Titans is a gift. It is not only the tools for success from his guests but it gives advice on life and experience. This book is an absolute must read for anyone who wants to get the most out of their lives. The advice from the greats in this book are applicable to anyone in any situation. If you think that there is nothing for you to learn from a memory champion to apply in your own life you are very very wrong. Read this book with a pencil in hand because you will need to write about and underline the amazing bits of knowledge to apply in your life.

Memorable Quotes

“The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.” ― Timothy Ferriss

"...did you arrive at that by thinking it through, or is it a reflection of biases inherited from your parents and others? Very often, "our" beliefs are not our own."

"No one owes you anything" - Amelia Boone

"A dream is something you fantasize about that will probably never happen. A goal is something you set a plan for, work toward, and achieve." - Paul Levesque

"We are whatever we pretend to be" - Derek Sivers

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow! What a ride!'" - Hunter S. Thompson

"Don't believe everything you think" - BJ Miller

"We're basically monkeys on a small rock orbiting a small, backwards star in a huge galaxy, which is in an absolutely staggeringly gigantic universe, which itself may be part of a giant multiverse...your existence, my existence, is just infinitesimal. It is like a firefly blinking once in the night. Nothing that we do lasts. Eventually you will fade, your works will fade, your children will fade, your thoughts will fade, this planet will fade, the sun will fade...it will all be gone." - Naval Ravikant

"When I had the opportunity, did I choose courage over comfort?" - Breen Brown

"Perhaps the biggest tragedy in our lives is that freedom is possible, yet we can pass our years trapped in the same old patters." - Bryan Johnson
