Ditch This To Be Successful

Want to be successful? Ditch these habits.

You need to (actually) listen.

What you have to say is not as important as listening to what other people have to say. It is not cool to let people's opinions go over your head. Do not think about what you have to say think about what other people have to say first.

You will learn more, grow more and be more respected if you listen to what other people have to say. I have been making a strong conscience effort to let others speak first. I've realized that my opinion is not the most important.

Stop being too agreeable. Saying yes to everything, being complacent does not help anyone. Especially yourself. Stand up for you and stand up for what you believe to be true for yourself and what you believe in.

I want to make everyone happy, I do not want anyone to be angry with me and I want to do what other think I "should" do. I have begun to realize these moments and will stop and pull myself out of them.

Give up the gossip.

Do not be a child. There are real issues, real concerns and you need to grow up.

I have become much more focused on the real things in the world and slowly the gossip has just left my life on its own.

Stop aimlessly roaming the internet. Be intentional with your time. Have a plan when you are online. Do not wander websites that get nothing done. Know what you are using the internet for. Use Facebook strategically, use all of your social sites strategically. Recently I have transitioned my use of Facebook to a more beneficial use. I have removed the random ranting from my news feed and focused it more to follow my interests and influencers. I use it to connect with people that have similar interests and to explore different opportunities.

It’s time to end procrastination.

Use your time wisely. That has been said many many times but believe it. Procrastination will not get you anywhere. People around you will be moving forward and growing and you can fall behind or you can grow.

Dump the toxic waste Anything that is pulling you down, making you feel or do less, hindering your best interest just GET RID OF IT! The quicker you remove the negative the quicker you move on to a more successful you.
